Postural balance is essential for safely and efficiently performing daily activities involving standing, walking, and running. Cognitive abilities and the appropriate activation of motor brain regions are crucial for achieving effective postural balance. Mental fatigue has been found to impair cognition and brain activity and may thus potentially affect postural balance. This thesis investigates the impact of mental fatigue on motor brain activity and postural balance. The results suggest that mental fatigue may reduce motor brain activity and impair postural balance. It is advisable to manage mental fatigue to ensure safety and efficiency in everyday tasks.
