This thesis examines research conducted to date on classroom behaviour management mobile applications (CBM apps). The research was conducted in three parts. First, the effectiveness of CBM apps on promoting positive student behaviour was examined in a systematic literature review. Second, the behaviour change potential of CBM apps was examined in a content analysis using the App Behaviour Change Scale to identify the behaviour change techniques crafted into the design of CBM apps and the user version of the Mobile App Rating Scale to evaluate the quality of CBM apps. Lastly, Australian teachers' readiness to adopt CBM apps in their classrooms was explored via a Qualtrics survey.
