This thesis research examined the association between perceptions and attitudes influencing behaviour change in a technology-related context. The technology acceptance model was utilised to evaluate electronic health (eHealth) literacy, attitudes, perceived ease of use and usefulness to explain the behavioural intention to use mobile health apps by healthcare professionals and general young adult consumers. Key findings highlighted the importance of eHealth literacy and the enjoyment factor in explaining the use of health apps for both groups. This information can be utilised to implement strategies and enhance the uptake and retention of app use among the general and clinical population.
