This thesis used multiple remote sensing products to better understand the relationship between waterholes and riparian vegetation in drylands. This research processed a large amount of data to develop a method to describe vegetation dynamics. This research provides managers with tools to implement an effective monitoring program in remote arid areas, providing important information about resource management and to predict future environmental impacts.
