Innate immune mechanisms of the pathogenesis of MPO-ANCA Vasculitis

MPO-ANCA Vasculitis is a severe inflammatory disease which can cause kidney failure and death. Current treatments are non-specific and toxic. This thesis examined methods of predicting disease outcome in a group of Australian patients. Mechanisms of disease were further explored using experimental models to define critical regulators of inflammation. Collectively these understandings facilitate the design of more targeted therapies for patients with MPO-ANCA Vasculitis.
