Industries of Excess: Materialising Excess in Installation Art

This practice-based research explores how the concept of excess can materialise in art research through embracing transdisciplinary (STEMM) methodologies. By engaging with the manipulation of materials through studio investigation, the research argues that algae and crude oil have a visceral presence that is excessive, leading to the production of the main creative output of the studio research; Industries of Excess.
