thesis
posted on 2023-11-13, 20:55 authored by DAVID NEIL TUCK
Mental disorders are the greatest health challenges affecting young people, compared to medical health issues tend to affect people more when they’re older. Tertiary students experience even higher levels of mental disorder than other young people who were not tertiary students. Therefore, this thesis project aimed to understand how to promote resilience in tertiary education students. The results found that paying attention to the present and purpose in life had large impacts on improving resilience in tertiary education students. It also found that exercise, positive relations with others, humour, and acceptance of difficult circumstances helped to improve student resilience.
