This thesis explores the best approaches for analysing Electroencephalography (EEG) data to assess functional connectivity - the way in which brain regions communicate with one another. The thesis identifies a robust and validated pipeline (i.e., combination of steps) and demonstrates how this pipeline could be used in clinical research settings, specifically in the application of EEG functional connectivity analyses in individuals with depression who have been treated with a brain stimulation intervention.
