The work was to strengthen an otherwise weak gene delivery vector i.e. invasive E.Coli DH10B, for combating genetic disorders. This bacterial vector is a non-pathogenic species and also provides easy handling. It was established that by employing simple and cost effective methods, the vector could boost up its transgene delivery capacity in the host cells. The vector's efficiency was found to be equivalent to the well-established viral vectors' efficiency. The high gene delivering capacity was established in four cell types, confirming the diversified nature of the vector. Also, the vector has shown promise in delivering large-sized DNA.
