The research study investigated the impact of a simulation-based learning program on first-year nursing students' ability to understand and appreciate different cultures in Saudi Arabia. The researchers used a combination of quantitative and qualitative methods to collect and analyse data from a group of first-year nursing students. The study found that the simulation-based intervention was effective in improving the students' cultural empathy. The students who participated in the program reported increased understanding of different cultural perspectives and improved communication skills. The research suggested that simulation-based learning can be a valuable tool for developing cultural empathy in nursing students within the Saudi Arabian curriculum. This is essential for providing culturally competent care to patients from diverse backgrounds.
