This exegesis supports my studio-based research project by examining the history of human thought as a theoretical domain that has been, and still is, expressed through images. Drawing on my research findings, and informed by my personal experience as patient, artist and researcher, my studio project explores “thought” as it is imagined in digitally mediated space. This studio investigation leads to the creation of an original collection of abstract expressions of thought resulting from a participatory new media artwork.
