This creative practice research combines theory and performance to examine the impact of unsustainable arts practices on queer and disabled makers. Using two plays developed during the PhD as vehicles to understand the theory, it imagines new approaches to theatre-making rooted in queer futurity, hope, and world-building. It seeks to cultivate a practice that is not only joyful and inclusive but also capable of fostering profound change. By advocating for a theatre practice that is intentional and community-centred, this thesis aims to inspire a new way of making and being in the world of theatre.
