Image Coefficient Prediction and Data Hiding for DCT Coded Image
thesis
posted on 2021-10-09, 07:55authored byALAN HEE KWONG SII
This research focuses on image coefficient recovery and data hiding. Specifically, transformed coefficients are the fundamental building blocks for a compressed image. In addition, coefficients can also be judiciously removed for purposes such as reducing file size and providing enhanced features through data hiding technology. The removed coefficient can then be recovered to improve the visual quality of the image through the application of coefficients recovery techniques. Therefore, in this study, the coefficient recovery problem is analyzed for potential improvements. This is built upon the existing coefficient recovery techniques. Specifically, the focus will be on the speed of recovery while maintaining the accuracy of the prediction. Subsequently, a rewritable data hiding method is put forward by defining qualified locations and not qualified locations.
