Fluidized beds are widely used in industries as they can offer high quality contacts between particles. Particle behavior such as particle velocity and particle mixing is very important for the understanding of fluidization and the design of fluidized beds. This thesis investigate the regularity of particle velocity distribution and particle mixing in fluidized beds by using both experimental and computational methods.
