The structure’s fire resistance is determined by the period for fire resistance level (FRL) under specific fire conditions. In fire event the temperature can reach up to 900°C in just 60 mins. The main aim of this research was to understand the bond strength between SMA bar and concrete under room temperature and higher temperatures. It is believed that, this is the first experimental investigation of its kind for using SMA. In this study, SMA’s are investigated for their ability to gain strength at elevated temperatures. SMA’s can be trained to gain strength at such high temperatures.
