"This thesis examines the efficacy of a pluripotent stem cell (human amnion epithelial cell) extracted from the amnion layer of the placenta as a novel therapy for non-alcoholic fatty liver disease (NAFLD) and inflammatory bowel disease (IBD). It identifies the disease modulating effects and highlights the anti-inflammatory and anti-fibrotic properties of hAECs and establishes a foundation for future research.
