Herbicide Dynamics and Bioavailability in the Soil
thesisposted on 10.06.2020, 01:22 by GAVIN NEIL STYLES
In order to distinguish essays and pre-prints from academic theses, we have a separate category. These are often much longer text based documents than a paper.
In order to improve management strategies surrounding herbicide usage, greater understanding of how herbicides behave in soil is required. This thesis addresses this through development of predictive models of herbicide behaviour in soil, new testing methods for "plant available" herbicide in soil, and looks at the mechanisms by which herbicides bind to and are are released from soil. In particular, this thesis focused on the herbicides glyphosate (Trade name RoundUp) and imazamox (Trade name Raptor)
