Metal halide perovskites have received substantial research attention due to their impressively high performance in photovoltaics, but their polycrystalline films have crucial limitations, which hamper perovskite-based devices toward commercialization. Therefore, low-dimensional perovskites with unique properties have been explored to be promising materials for future applications. This thesis studied the synthesis, nanofabrication and optoelectronic applications of the low-dimensional perovskites. In particular, two-dimensional perovskites were fabricated into photodiodes, which are further demonstrated as broadband photodetectors. Furthermore, a high-performance flexible X-ray detector was fabricated by inkjet printing, suggesting that perovskites have great potential for the next generation X-ray detecting and imaging technologies.
