The changes in land-use and climate have been affecting water resources in many semi-parts of the world, including southeast Australia. Using different geochemical tracers (e.g., electrical conductivity, chloride, tritium, carbon-14), documenting groundwater recharge rates and the interaction between surface water with different catchment water stores is required to effectively protect and manage water resources in these areas.
