Functionalisation of fibrous polymer surfaces for catalytic applications

This thesis investigates the immobilisation of the enzyme alcohol dehydrogenase on flexible, fibrous polymeric supports. An optimised construct was developed into a biosensor and also successfully translated into a flow reactor for the detection of ethanol.
