Fit for purpose? The paradox of refugee education in countries of first asylum.

thesis
posted on 2024-07-30, 12:18 authored by STEVEN PULLE
This thesis examines transnational education policy and the mediating effect of schooling on the development of social and emotional skills in a refugee population living in a country of first asylum. It finds only limited differences between children in school and children that have never been schooled and by inference that, in combination with existing research, education policy may not be fit for purpose.
