Femtosecond laser-assisted fabrication of functional micro/nanostructures and their applications

thesis
posted on 2024-06-13, 05:14 authored by SWETA RANI
While micro/nanofabrication has advanced significantly, enhancing the functionality of conventional micro/nanostructures for applications like sensors and biomedicine remains complex and inefficient. This thesis aims to overcome these challenges by developing and optimizing a one-step, facile technique for fabricating functional as well as biocompatible 2D/3D micro/nanostructures using femtosecond laser-assisted patterning. The developed material systems have been used for different applications including micro-environment pH sensing, fabrication of chiral metamaterials and photonic crystals, as well as the development of the miniaturized organo-arsenic sensor.
