My thesis explores factors affecting the reproductive success and health of aquatic vertebrates. I explore the effect of maternal traits, such as body size, on hatching success and reproductive output of a green turtle population nesting in Costa Rica. I also review the scientific literature on a prominent group of environmental contaminants, PFAS, to identify gaps and biases in the literature.
