This thesis examines the factors influencing students’ enrolment in Pathway programs between 2005-2015. It provides an overview of their perceptions of why they sought to enrol in a program that provided them access to higher education. This thesis reviews the policies that seek to foster greater diversity and equity in higher education and the Pathway students experiences and outcomes and makes recommendations for future policies and research.
