Exploring the effects of molecular structure on surfactant behaviour, micelle morphology and formulation properties

This thesis explores how modifications to the chemical structure of surfactant (detergent) molecules can influence their behavior. It presents a number of novel surfactant molecules, surfactant based gels and a gel material with light responsive mechanical properties.
