This thesis investigated the period of Post Traumatic Amnesia (PTA) and the occurrence of agitated behaviour following Traumatic Brain Injury, by firstly, comparing different assessment measures of PTA; secondly, examining the association between aspects of cognitive function and agitation; and thirdly exploring the impact of agitation, along with pain, fatigue and cognitive status on rehabilitation participation and physical outcome at emergence from PTA.
