The thesis explores one way of opening up possibilities for teachers to think differently about, and to see new opportunities for, improvement within their teaching. In particular the thesis examines how the use of narrative-based video stories of teaching can inspire behaviour change in teachers as a consequence of communicating fundamental ideas of practice, identity, attitude and behaviour, through image and story. In so doing, the thesis offers an alternate way to support teachers to learn more about themselves and their professional knowledge whilst also enhancing their practice.
