This thesis focused on developing and evaluating a psychological intervention tailored to treating migraine in multiple sclerosis. The therapy was adapted to address the cognitive difficulties commonly experienced by this group. Compared to the wait-listed group, the treatment group had significant improvements in migraine frequency, migraine duration, anxiety, and disability (e.g., work productivity). Participants reported gaining an understanding of their symptoms and developing strategies to better manage them. They found the intervention to be relevant, beneficial, and applicable to their lives. This therapy holds promise as a non-pharmacological approach to managing migraines in people with multiple sclerosis.
