Exercise-induced gastrointestinal syndrome: exploration into age as an intrinsic exacerbation factor

This thesis investigated the impact of endurance and ultra-endurance running on the gastrointestinal tract of athletes of varying ages (i.e., masters athletes >40 years and adolescent athletes <18 years). It identified that the age of an athlete does not appear to impact on the gastrointestinal response to endurance and ultra-endurance running.
