Enigmatic intraplate basaltic systems: A geochemical investigation of ocean island oddities

thesis
posted on 2024-08-01, 15:08 authored by ANGUS CAMERON ROGERS
Ocean Island Basalts (OIB) are the surface manifestations of thermochemical anomalies originating deep within the Earth. This thesis studied ocean islands that diverge from this paradigm using novel isotopic techniques and geochemical modelling to address gaps in our understanding of volcanic evolution and the Earth as a system more broadly.
