In Australia, migrant women have a considerably lower rate of labour force participation compared to men, particularly migrant women from culturally and linguistically diverse background(CALD). Therefore, this study aims to develop an understanding of employment experiences of Pakistani migrant women in the Australian labour market. It is identified that Pakistani women face a wide range of barriers to employment attainment, workplace integration and career progression in the Australian labour market. This sociological study makes an important contribution to the literature on the migration experience of CALD communities while offering recommendations on how to minimise their disadvantages.
