Efficient Flow Chemistry for Large Scale Metal-Organic Framework Production

thesis
posted on 2021-02-17, 09:25 authored by Brandon Junyin He
Metal-Organic Frameworks are porous materials of significant interest in tackling industrial and environmental challenges, such as catalysis and carbon capture, due to its permanent porosity, chemical versatility, and thermal stability. Current methods of production are not conducive to scaling up due to high costs and lengthy synthesis times. This thesis explores methods to address these issues and to understand the formation of these materials during synthesis. Findings from this research guides future development and production of such materials and enables future technologies to address the current challenges.
