Light-weight magnesium sheets have great potential for automotive and aerospace applications, however they are difficult to form at room temperature due their low ductility. This thesis develops a cost-effective fast-rolling technique to produce magnesium sheets with improved sheet bending performance, and it also discusses the microstructure and the bending mechanics of Mg sheets produced under a range of conditions.
