Effect of hygrothermal ageing temperature and time on the mechanical properties of epoxy and epoxy based carbon fibre reinforced composites.

The thesis first deals with understanding the failure mechanisms of epoxy and epoxy-based carbon fiber reinforced composites. Later degradation of both epoxy and epoxy-based composites under harsh environmental conditions have been tracked both for changes in structural and mechanical properties. Lastly, a technique is developed for manufacturing water resistant laminates.
