EVALUATING THE FEASIBILITY OF 3D-PRINTED GYROID PACKING IN IMPROVING THE ANAEROBIC DIGESTION OF PALM OIL MILL EFFLUENT (POME)

thesis
posted on 2023-02-12, 15:02 authored by JOSHIA CHRISTA PRADANA
Palm Oil Mill Effluent (POME) is troublesome wastewater from palm oil milling. Anaerobic digestion is considered a suitable technology to treat and transform this waste into energy in the form of biogas. However, anaerobic digestion is often subjected to an operational problem. This thesis develops and evaluates a packing media made from 3D-Printing to improve POME treatment and reduce the operational problem in the anaerobic digestion of POME.
