Dynamic Behaviours of Rock Materials under Coupled Multi-axial Confinement and Dynamic Loading

This thesis aims to identify the effects of confining stress and strain rate on the dynamic behaviours of rock materials. It is significantly important to design reliable experimental methods, to determine mechanical properties, to measure real-time full-field deformation field, and to investigate failure mechanisms of rock materials at micro scale.
