Does exposure to ionising radiation and chemotherapy damage mitochondria within oocytes?

This project investigated mitochondrial damage in mouse oocytes after radiotherapy and chemotherapy. The protection of MitoQ, a mitochondrial targeted antioxidant, against toxic cancer treatments in ovaries was examined as well.
