In the early stages of mammalian development, a group of specialized cells in the embryo possess the remarkable ability to form any cell type in the adult body. These cells, known as pluripotent stem cells, hold immense potential in both the research and therapeutic setting. Understanding the inner workings of these cells and the molecules that govern their genomic functions is essential for unravelling the mysteries of both development and disease. In this thesis, I develop and introduce novel techniques that allow me to explore the molecular events which govern pluripotent stem cell functions.
