Direct Z-scheme Vertical Heterojunctions for Photocatalytic Water Disinfection

thesis
posted on 2020-05-25, 06:57 authored by YUE LIU
The accelerated urbanization and improvements in the standard of living have aroused the demands on advanced water disinfection techniques which are of low energy consumption and high efficiency. Utilizing solar light and nanomaterials, photocatalysis has provided new opportunities. This thesis attempts to develop photocatalysts for rapid water disinfection by nanostructure tailoring and photocatalytic model design. The thesis also uncovers the mechanisms of the accelerated disinfection activity. The findings give guidance for advanced photocatalyst design and their application in water treatment.
