This thesis explores the use of an interactive digital narrative to help motivate hearing people to learn Auslan (Australian sign language). It also provides guidelines for how such software can be developed in terms of design, content and evaluation. It is hoped that this project can help contribute to a more inclusive society for deaf people by encouraging more people to learn sign language.
