thesis
posted on 2024-11-28, 22:45 authored by Melissa Louise Pelly
Cardiovascular disease in Australia can be supported using digital health interventions, providing a platform for convenient, consistent and personalised support to reduce the risk for future cardiovascular events. This thesis includes theoretical and empirical evidence that assessed digital behaviour change frameworks and trends, patient and health professional perspectives on artificial intelligence and unmet needs for secondary prevention, differences in dietary profile and motivations in those at risk of cardiovascular disease and a mental health interventional pilot trial. This thesis aimed to investigate how digital health targeting populations with cardiovascular disease best leads to engagement and adherence to positive lifestyle behaviours.
