Numerical simulations act as a promising tool to promote the application of additive manufacturing to modern industries. One of the major modelling changes is to improve computational efficiency while maintaining accuracy. Therefore, this study focuses on developing numerical approaches to efficiently and accurately simulate an additive manufacturing process. In addition, the thermophysical properties of metal powder have been investigated to provide accurate input for numerical modelling.
