Development of digital concrete via 2.5D microstructure reconstruction

The studies presented in this thesis can enhance the structure-property link for construction materials and enable the reverse design of construction materials. The digital concrete model developed is fully parameterised, which enables the adoption of artificial intelligence in civil engineering. The digital concrete model paves the way towards digitisation of construction materials, which can lead to faster and cheaper design, testing and health-monitoring
