Development of additively manufactured nickel-based superalloys toward optimal creep performance

This thesis examines the creep properties of additively manufactured nickel- based superalloys. It develops the understanding of relationship between the microstructure of additively manufacutred nickel-based superalloys and creep performance through a creep model. Meanwhile, this thesis presents microstructure design strategies for Inconel 718 and Hastelloy X to improve their creep properties.
