Development of a novel Green Cement (GC) from waste: Application towards Construction Industry

thesis
posted on 2023-02-13, 02:56 authored by BALINEE BALACHANDRAN
This thesis examines the development of a novel green cement by only utilizing municipal/industrial waste materials with lower energy consumption to overcome the serious environmental issues; carbon dioxide emission from cement industry and landfilling. This study proves that commercial-grade cement can be produced only from abundant waste materials with lower energy consumption, and excellent engineering and environmental properties. The production process of green cement emits 95% less CO2 and cost 40% lesser than commercial cement.
