Development of a Sustainable Method for the Extraction of Methane Gas from Subaquatic Hydrate Reservoirs

thesis
posted on 2023-02-27, 23:30 authored by SHASHIKA MADHUSANKA GAJANAYAKE
This thesis primarily focuses on using natural gas hydrates reservoirs for methane extraction and Carbon dioxide storage. The findings of this study provide insights into the behaviour of Carbon dioxide in the gas hydrate reservoir and the influence of in-situ physical conditions on methane recovery. It presents new insight details of the characteristics of methane hydrates which will be beneficial in devising efficient and safe methane extraction strategies.
