Development of a New Heterogeneous Catalyst for Selective Production of 1,3-propanediol from Glycerol

This thesis shows the development of a new heterogeneous catalyst "Pt-STA/B-zeolite" and a study on the conversion of glycerol to 1,3-propanediol using a newly developed catalyst. It also shows the effect of reaction parameters on the selectivity of 1,3-propanediol.
