Development of Novel Kinase Inhibitors as Therapeutics

thesis
posted on 2022-03-01, 01:52 authored by XIAO MA
Kinases are important classes of proteins that are involved in many diseases. The understanding of their biological roles has been a challenging and ongoing journey. 20 years ago, the first kinase-targeting drug met the market, and to date there are more than 60 of them. This thesis describes the development of novel kinase-targeting molecules that are potentially more effective and safer for the treatment of cancer and thrombosis. Excitingly, the lead molecule developed cures a type of lymphoma in mice.
