Development and control of Multi-Degrees of Freedom Large Range Micropositioning Mechanisms

Micropositioners are critical for advanced manufacturing applications. However, they are limited in their compactness, range, and accuracy. This thesis develops several novel micropositioners with advanced control methodologies to establish these positioners as the next generation of machine tools for precision industries and applications.
