Developing unique antiplatelet drugs for improved heart attack and stroke prevention

Heart attack and stroke are the leading causes of death worldwide. Platelets are the main cells involved in heart attack and stroke. Current drugs for heart attack and stroke prevention remain ineffective, particularly in high-risk patients. This thesis aims to assess the potential of a new target for heart attack and stroke prevention and to test newly developed drugs aimed at blocking this target.
